Mercedes EQS 580 Electric Sedan: Top Highlights

The new EQS 580 4Matic is an all-wheel drive EV that slots below the previously launched range-topping AMG variant

It’s feature-loaded with a Hyperscreen MBUX infotainment system, Burmester 3D sound system, four-zone climate control and ventilated seats

The safety kit includes nine airbags and advanced driver assistance and active safety features

A dual-motor all-wheel drive system powers the EQS 580 4Matic, producing 525PS and 850Nm, enough for a 0-100kmph time of 4.3 seconds

The EQS sedan has a 107.8kWh battery pack that can be fast-charged to 80 per cent in just 31 minutes

Being a CKD (complete knock-down kit) import, the locally assembled EV costs Rs 1.55 crore, around Rs 90 lakh than the fully imported AMG variant

It’s the first luxury EV to be locally assembled in India
