Matter is all set to officially launch its first e-bike on March 1, 2023
Last year, it filed a trademark for multiple names including ‘Air’. Given the invite mentions "Air" we believe it will likely be called the Matter Air
It features a 10.5kW, liquid-cooled, mid-mounted motor with a 4-speed manual gearbox and a clutch. Both are first in the segment
With a claimed 520Nm at the wheel, its performance should be comparable to that of a 150cc petrol powered bike
It’s powered by a 5kWh battery pack which too is liquid-cooled (first in segment) and offers a claimed range of 125km to 150km
Given the launch has been pushed to March from January, let’s not be surprised if it changes the delivery timelines, which was originally slated for April
We anticipate the e-bike to cost roughly Rs. 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom)
