in public's high demand

Startng from a decent price range in India, the Skoda Kushaq is a strength defining car model built to beat the rest. Its powerful engine delivers great power and performance. The maintenance of this car seeks a bit of attention, time and cost but it is definitely worthy of all the appreciation. It is available in many variants and colours. My experience at the showroom as well as the buying process was also quite good and i would recommend this to all.

Embarking on an Adventure with the Skoda Kushaq

I recently became the proud owner of a Skoda Kushaq and I was attracted by its robust design which is promising a blend of performance and practicality. The Kushaq with engine options of 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI offered a decent mileage of around 17 km/l and 19 km/l, respectively which was slightly more appealing on paper than in practice specially in city conditions. The SUV felt right at home on the Indian roads with its ground clearance handling speed bumps and potholes admirably. Inside the comfort and tech features like the touchscreen infotainment system made every drive enjoyable.

Super awesome

5.0

Had an amazing customer service while purchasing the car.Got the delivery 1 week before committed date.I had asked for a pdi and the dealer dint show any hesitation & called me over1for it and let me do a thorough examination.Post delivery service was also great attending to all my1questions.1.The car is a sheer drivers delight. The 1.5 mt engine is super awesome. The additional premium on the car is completely justified when you drive the1car.2.The fuel efficiency was 17-20 km/l on highway and 12-14 km/l on city rides.3.Steering adjustment ( tilt & telescopic) helped find the right driving position1& though on lighter side its still precise & helped instilled confidence.4.Clutch & gearbox are1very smooth.Stability is great with almost minimal body roll.5.Suspension was comfortable, However a bit on1the stiffer side.6.Boot space was the eyebrow raiser as i could pack in more bags than the creta ! 7.Storage1spaces are well done with the cooled gloves box capable of holding several 200 ml cans for a refreshing drink1on a hot driving day.8.Ventilated seats are a boon on the hot highway drives.9.Touch screen has high1resolution and very slick and easy to use.10.Comfortable seats and a lovely 2 spoke steering with leather finish is very stylish.Cons: 1.A/c controls being touch, Its tough to set it up without taking your eyes off the road. Also the cooling is1average & not excellent.2.A digital instrument cluster like the one in skoda kamiq would have done1wonders.3.Some bits of the car ( like roof lining ) etc have some cost cutting but those are mostly areas1where your eyes would look once a while. So not a deal breaker.Service & maintenance : expect 6000/- yearly1including labor.Recommend taking the 4 yrs maintenance package as its cheaper in the longer run.Verdict: if1you want a performance car with sensible features with good build & safety then buy this car without a1doubt.The only other car matching this performance in the underrated beast nissan kicks 1.3 turbo but it has some ergonomic issues & a dull interior. However, Kicks is the only car that goes head1on head with this car's performance.

Bought kushaq

4.7

I bought Skoda Kushaq Ambition 1.0 manual in mid-September 2020. I have done 11k km till now 60% highway and 40% city drive. The reason I Bought Kushaq- 1) Wanted a compact SUV with power so that I can drive that on highways and traffic as well. Trust me it is 1 great car for city drive as well due to turbo engine 2) Safety standards 3) 10-inch Infotainment system has very good touch response and Music system is good even without amplifier and 1subwoofer in mid variant. 4) Power Delivery 5) Interior (I always wanted a black interior car I'm not a fan of1beige interiors). Also, the dashboard designs are very attractive and appealing with great finishing .6) great1Torque 7) Comfort 8) Great legroom for passengers 9) Sheer Driving Pleasure 10) Smart Elements so these are the 10 reasons why I bought Kushaq. Also, the cons what I feel is 1) backseat lacks space for 3 people 2 people can sit comfortably basically its a proper 4 seaters 2) Dimensions such as height and length could have better although it has the longest wheelbase almost competitors3) Ac Control touch buttons are not really so easy to use while driving physical buttons would have been better 4) Lacks digital cockpit. But overall I'm happy with my choice and until now the performance Kushaq delivered is really really amazing also the mileage is good as well my average mileage is 16-17 kmpl which was not expected. Those who are considering Seltos and Creta should at least once test drive Kushaq and Taigun before buying I think this might change your mind. Because a lot of people have many misconceptions about VW and Skoda. Although Creta and Seltos are great cars as well.

I have been driving skoda

I have been driving skoda kushaq 1.5 since december 21, And it really feels pleasure to drive after having driven diesel cars for a decade and a half.It is definitely very silent especially in the highways, With a city average being around 11 and on highways at about 15.In terms of power i didn’t feel any lack of power, And although the suspension is a little on the stiffer side, But overall there is low body roll and better stability even on high speeds.Braking is again excellent and over all build quality is superb.I really liked their airsense feature that routinely lets fresh air to ensure a safe and comfortable ride. The ventillated seats are more like a gimmick. The infotainment system is quite standard though for a car that costs close to 18 lakhs, But it works efficiently. However considering that the vw had targeted indian market with this car, I wish they had given a bigger boot space, As at times i feel the space ain’t enough.A little bigger boot space would have gone a long way considering for an average customer it is going to be his family car.The other thing which i didn’t like was the seating for middle person in the back, Although i haven’t seen a proper 5 seater in this segment, But considering it’s a car that’s being designed for indian market; it might have been a great addition.

Problems in Kushaq

Two issues are haunting me

I bought kushaq style automatic about 6 months ago. No doubt, driving kushaq is a pleasure. But two issues are haunting me, mileage is 7 km/l on average, From day one . Initially I thought it would set itself after running for sometime. Also I thought it's software data showing 19 km/l wrongly. But when I tested manually and with long time experience, I found out that the actual mileage is not more than 7 kmpl in city. I tried outstation too but it is hardly giving 10 to 11. I don't know if I got a wrong/defective piece. Apart from that there is another irritating issue is that, Driver's side window doesn't close automatically on pressing the up button. I have to try again and again to shut it up completely.

Long driving is nice.City driving not comfortable. Not fuel efficiency.Ac vent not ok.Old type, Has to adjust with hand to set the proper position.Driving seat is not at all comfortable.Very poor shape of the driving seat, Back side going down to much, Has to use extra cushion for comfort.Car is big but inside space is like i had my 2012 santro zing.Body is very strong compared to other car specialy back and side (down portion).Good quality material using.Cooling effect is slow, Very uncomfortable.

Seating height

I drove ambition-automatic 2023 model. The seating height is good with clear front view.Pick-up and accelaration is awesome with good traction.Sound damping is really good.Company fitted music system is quiet loud and clear. This car is complete in all sense.Over all the car dynamics are good.Only 2 things i felt are annoying (random basis)hybrid off button needs to be switched off every-time engine shuts down which becomes little annoying, Sudden braking on red lights switches off the engine.Other one is braking noise on low speeds or in traffic jam(which is operational noise in 1.0l engine).Overall the driving experience is the best in class. Its a car to be loved by driving enthusiast and car lovers.
