Renault Kiger Dynamic design

I like the Renault Kiger for a number of reasons including its sporty design, small size and customization. The ability to mix luxury with convenience as a small SUV makes itnice for weekend trips and city exploration. The Kiger commands attention on the road with its sleek layout and modern features, and the agility of handling makes for an enjoyable driving experience My riding experience with the Kiger is always pleasant, be it traveling in urban areas and traveling on conventional roads. In its class, the Renault Kiger is unmatched for its impressive performance and logical design.

Bold Design, Dynamic Performance

The intensive performance and startling design of the Renault Kiger produce a forceful statement. It blends substance and fineness to give an instigative driving experience in a fragile SUV. Its aerodynamic design draws concentration to itself on the road, and its strong machine and sharp running make for an instigative and responsive ride. Every trip becomes indelible when my travel in the Renault Kiger because it combines performance and faculty, whether my are venturing off the beaten road and through City Streets.

A convenient car

The Renault Kiger is a competitive car that is assembling the features of convenience, style, and adaptability which makes it a great choice for the city or the highway rides. Its engine yields maximum power output with the least possible fuel to be used simultaneously, containing a comfortable room for travelers and cargo. It is compact for that charming and funky vibe yet it packs punch in the color options department. The amount of safety features such as anti-lock breaking and airbag, makes it normal for many people drive with this mind on a road.

Renault Kiger Pros and Cons

Kiger Positives Points: Great looks, space and practicality, good features and wide range of petrol engines and transmissions. All at a killer price tag. New safety features and BSVI compliant engines at no extra cost.

Kiger Negatives Points: Noisy engine at high revs, Vibration felt at high speeds, No sunroof or electric driver's seat option, Limited safety features in lower variants.

Zigwheels Expert's Conclusion : A practical and balanced family car with just the right amount of frills. An affordable, yet, sensible way to enter the world of mini SUVs.

Stay away from the renault kiger i took delivery of my brand new vehicle on 11 october 2021 only to discover that this vehicle is riddled with manufacturing defects and has shady and sloppy workmanship that in my opinion is a result of being manufactured for cheap labour in india. The following was noted upon accepting delivery: - the indicator was non functional - the hazards on the vehicle remained one permanently - the clip on my bonnet was broken and stuck with prestik- the were scratch marks on the hand glove compartment - a piece of leather was hanging out at the side of the steering - the carpet on the drivers side is cut in three places and stapled together - the leather on steering appears to be pealing - there inner panels of the doors was loose on two doors with distinct gaps upon bringing the above to the attention of the dealership i was provided with cheap fixes and excuses.I was further told some of the above was characteristics of the car and all kigers would be like this. The principal of renault durban advised that she cannot replace the vehicle as the clips she replaced was valued at r10 (shocking) and refused to take liability of the other problems as her excused rendered to be sufficient. To my further horror the doors on the vehicle had manufacture defects. Both rear passenger side doors have dirt specs ingrained in the paintwork and the the doors are glazed with a clear quote of paint. The dealership initially agreed to replace the doors however upon inspection two other kigers had the same defect. The dealership has now advised that they are willing to repair the doors by means of painting it.Yes renault is now offering to paint my brand nee vehicle as a result of negligence form the manufacturer.(even thought they admitted the paint colour is not available in the country as yet) i did contact renault south africa customer care to aid me.It has been two weeks, I requested for a senior manager to schedule a meeting with me and i have received no feedback to date.It is evident that renault south africa customer care and renault durban are colluding to save cost and not give me a solution that is suitable for me.

See folks buying experience

See folks buying experience was like revisiting an old good showroom where the team n our family have known us for a long time.Well i am here to say about the driving section only:- see on the first delivery of my car i was the first to drive straight out from the showroom.Driving at city is easy n good. It's a very good practical car to my eyes compared to its own magnite.I have used n familiarise all the drive modes, Feature offer.Well i have bought the turbo variant because i enjoy driving punchy hp with good engi e for the price.100hp dual tone.Sitting three in back is decent but now wow.It felt like driving mini duster rxz instead of 110hp.Eco n normal mode have a minimal engine response diff.Sports n ecco is significant.Being compact suv it's nimbal to drive compared to duster.Turbo is a rev happy budget engine, Turbo kicks around 2000-2500rpm all the way to red line.At night i was shocked to get 19.99kmpl on ecco mode drive, Normal driving around 19kmpl.City driving at around 10-12kmpl around.Light isn't something i am happy so much 😞.

Compact suv

3.7

Let me make this clear. This vehicle comes with a lot of premium features and looks that others cars in the segment don't provide. But that comes with some compromise on safety and performance or ironically the 'heart & soul' of the car.Of course there's lag in the engine and the cabin noise is there. Also we don't feel that heavyness that other cars like nexon and sonet provide.Especially thats because there's a huge compromise on the build quality.Well, I'm only talking about the 'compact suv' segment here and by the price it comes. This car is excellent! yes, All these negatives i have told you are there. But look at the price! only and only if are okay with the average safety and a little bit engine noise(not enough to be worried of-just a little bit) and also if you need a bigger car than a sedan or hatchback at a lower price with some compromise, Then this is it! atleast please don't go with a maruti car as it has a more worse build quality than kiger.

Expected mileage

I live in coimbatore.Mine is kiger amt (non turbo) mostly driven in city environment conditions.(i bought the vehicle in sep 22 & vehicle has clocked 13000km till now.On an average i cover a distance of 21km per hour & approx 25km a day i drive), I get an average of 11.5 to 11.9 km per liter in amt and in manual mode 13 - 13.5 km per liter, While in highway in amt mode i get an average of 16 to 16.5km per liter. No one in the renault show room clear about how much the mileage the vehicle should give.In fact i lodged a complaint with renault customer service india.Twice i raised this complaint with the service agency, But they say the vehicle is giving the expected mileage but i am not happy about their response.I wish to know from the renault kiger community about the same and their experience.

Compact Dynamism

My joyfully purchased kiger turned out to be a missarabke. Over the last two years, I've made nine trips to the service centre. Problem with the power window; difficulties with doot locks challenges with the media system problems with mileage allowance Just so everyone knows, the design causes a wind noise to emanate from the kiger when you go above 85 kmph with the air conditioning on and all the windows closed. The list goes on and on. Because of air resistance, your mileage will decrease as you increase your speed. I discussed this with the Renault team, and they are planning to drive the vehicle at 80 kmph. Am I really going to use this to drive a loud automobile at 80 kmph?

Kiger that i bought with so much of a joy turned out to be missarabke.I have been to the service center 9 times in the past 20 months.Power window failure doot lock issues media system issues mileage issues the list is endless just to let you all know when you are driving kiger above 85kmph with ac on and all windows closed there is a wind noise that comes and that is because of the design. There is a resistance from the air and hence your mileage will go down as the speed goes up.I spoke to renault team on this and they expect to drive the car at 80 kmph.Did i buy this to drive a noisy car and at 80 kmph only.
