Decent Car

It's a decent vehicle, although it can be a bit cumbersome for city driving on occasion. It provides a fuel economy of approximately 13-14 kilometers per liter in the city and 17 kilometers per liter on the highway. The only significant issue I've encountered is a power loss caused by modulator failure, which incurred a cost of around 3k, including labor. The vehicle has comfortable seats and ample space, although the last row is quite cramped. If you use the last row, there won't be any room left for luggage. The suspension is notably subpar. The infotainment system encountered early failures, and the repair or replacement costs are substantial. Additionally, there were some metal fatigue noises experienced on hilly roads. Overall, it's a decent vehicle if you take good care of it.

Mahindra XUV500 Pros and Cons

XUV500 Positives Points: All variants are feature rich. Thanks to its large dimensions and muscular design it has a lot of road presence.

XUV500 Negatives Points: Interior fit and finish isn’t the best. Third-row is cramped and with all seats up there is barely any luggage room left.

Perfect Car Ever

Here is the review of the XUV500 W8 2017 model after 1.5 lakh km driven. This car is simply awesome, I bought it for 18.56 lakh on the road price at Ajmer Rajasthan. The comfort level of the car is good, there is ample of headroom for everybody in the car and the second row has a large knee room area. When talking about driving it is a gem trust me it drives very well the body roll is very minimal because of the monocoque chassis the car is very fun to drive because of 155 bhp and 360nm of torque, you can easily cruse it on 150+ km/hr all day without a single issue. This car is a very good highway cruiser and off-roader too because of its all-wheel drive technology, and the mid-range is fabulous, the top end also shines it hits 195km now which is awesome. The build quality is like a tank the safety is great it gets 5-star safety in Asian N Cap. The mileage is great compared to any other seven-seater, it gives 16+km/liter on highways when cruising between 80 to 100 and that is fantastic for a seven-seater with a 2200cc engine now talk about cons it has very little boot space when all the seats are up and a con is in the clutch too, it is the only part which is not that refined. It sounds something like sliding an iron road on another the gear is so good the fit and finish levels are great they still don't get loose after that much time. It shows the reliability the car is very reliable. And when talking about sales and service I don't face any issues now it's service cost is around 10 to 15k only and it is a great price for this chunky SUV. The parts cost is also okay not too costly not too cheap. Overall it is a perfect car at this price.

Best Car In The Segment

I am running Xuv 500 w6 manual since December 2014. In terms of driving comfort, I must say it is one of the best in this segment has a 2179 cc engine with almost 155 bhp power with a torque of approx 350nm. In city driving, average mileage is around 9-11 while on highways, the Same goes up to 13-14 as well. In terms of turning radius, It is one of the easily driven cars. If you are a long drive enthusiastic then you can rest assured as it has very high performance and the comfort of driving without any fatigue and tiredness. It has a maintenance cost of approx rs 3 per km for major service and rs 0.5 to 0.7 per km for minor service (every 10k drive) averaging around rs 1.5 per km during driving tenure. It has comfortable family driving of 7 members which can accommodate even up to members with smaller kids (5 adults and 4 kids). Safety-wise, I will say it is up to the mark and can sustain your driving in rocky, Mud, Sand, or even village sludge driving. Overall must buy and drive a car that once purchased will be liked the most in this budget segment.

Change brake

Extremely high maintenance car.I had to change brakes twice because the brakes were making screeching noise. The cost of that was 40k rupees. All this in just 3 years.Suspensions almost failed (as the car wobbles left and right) and this failure occurred immediately after 40k km.The cost of that is 1 lakh rupees.Car seat at the middle won’t bend. They say they have to replace the entire seat. The cost of that is 40k rupees.Again this problem happened after 3.5 years of ownership.Apart from that lot of all issues.Sun visor broke, Radio doesn’t work.Clutch is too tight.Cost again for that is 40k rupees. All in all very expensive maintenance.Better to opt for german cars.Even thought german cars are high on maintenance they provide a class different from the rest.

I thought it was an old car.

2.0

I have purchased a old car from mahindra first choice showroom and i thought it was an old car so 1st service should be done at the mahindra service station. But there is loot in the name of service. My car had such a huge default, They didn't see it.Due to which my car broke down due to broken axle and was parked on the road and i and my family were in a lot of trouble.I want to say this to the service station people that they do not see anything without telling what is the fault in the vehicle? it is a blessing to god that nothing happened with me and my family. My very bad experience with mahindra, Neither will i ever buy a mahindra car, Nor will i go to a mahindra service station, Nor will i tell anyone to buy a mahindra car.🙏🙏.

Good driving experience,

Good driving experience, Easy to drive, Excellent handling, Very quick response. No major repairs as yet, Some paint and dent work has arisen due to very congested traffic conditions.I haven't really checked on mileage but considering it is a big car, I think i get about 10 to 11km in city driving depending on traffic and about 15 to 16 km on the highway.Servicing is once a year and costs about 7to 8k depending on minor parts replacements.Overall, The car has been a very enjoyable ownership experience.

Petrol car

5.0

When i bought this car in 2014, It was the most feature rich car.The build quality and safety features are top of the line. The engine handles like a petrol car at low revs. The gearing is nice and as a result on the highway a you can cruise between 1800 to 2200 rpm getting a phenomenal average between 28-20 km/l.Other than the body roll, I can't fault this car on any count.
