One of the most distinctive and unique of all Rolls-Royce models at the concours was this Phantom I shooting break. It was ordered by the HH Maharaja Kishan Singh of Bharatpur as a shikar caravan and its all nickel-plated coachwork by Windovers is not only unique but in great original condition.
It features a fold out bed and a concealed wash basin. The sun roof helped in spotting fresh prey while the electric bell up front ahead of the radiator is still operational. The triple rod front bumper was a Bharatpur trademark, logical this because of the Maharaja’s penchant for shikar. This car (chassis no. 51RC) changed hands in 1931, bought by current owner Yadupati Singhania’s family way back then.
