After the success of Micra petrol from Nissan, the company has launched the diesel version in the capital today.

The Micra diesel comes in two variant XV and XV premium. The Micra XV is priced at Rs 5.58 lakh while the top-end variant XV premium will cost Rs 6.04 lakk (ex showroom, Delhi).

The Nissan Micra diesel is powered by the same 1.5-litre engine as the Mahindra-Renault Logan's. It is an eight-valve 1.5-litre dCi engine (code name K9K). This engine produces a maximum power of 63bhp and a torque of 160Nm@2000rpm.

As far as cosmetic changes, the diesel variant looks just like its petrol sibling. The diesel version of the car was always on the cards and now that it is finally out, the competition in the segment just got tougher. Bookings for the Micra diesel have already started.
