2017 Hyundai Santa Fe unveiled at Chicago Auto Show

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) today launched the third-generation of the SantaFe at the 2014 Auto Expo. Powered by a 2.2-litre CRDi engine, equipped with the e-VGT turbocharger the SantaFe produces 197PS of power at 3,800rpm and 420Nm between 1,800-2,500rpm.
Embodying a new design philosophy that is derived from Hyundai’s Fluidic design theme, the new SantaFe sports a three-bar hexagonal front grille that is complemented by striking headlamps and Daytime Running Lights. Enhancing the beauty of its profile are the 18-inch two-tone diamond cut alloy wheels and the wheel arch side garnish. The rear boasts of the LED tail lamps, large bumper reflectors and a LED Rear Spoiler.
The insides have two-tone beige and brown interiors with fully foldable second and third row seats for additional cargo space, a 12-way Driver Power seat, a 4.3-inch TFT LCD Touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, MP3, USB, Aux-in and the works. The SantaFe also allows the driver to switch between three modes depending on road conditions and driver preferences – Comfort, Normal and Sport. The safety aspect is taken care of with the help of six air bags, Electronic Safety Control (ESC) and a Vehicle Stability Management.
The SantaFe will be made available in three variants – Two-wheel drive Manual Transmission at Rs 26.30 lakh, the two-wheel drive Automatic Transmission at Rs 27.15 lakh and the top-of-the-line four-wheel drive Automatic Transmission at Rs 29.25 lakh. The SantaFe comes in five colours, sleek silver, a darker grey ‘stardust’, phantom black, pure white and wine red.
