The Hyundai Accent was first introduced in the Indian market in 1999 and was an instant hit. Having been around for 12 years now, the car has recieved little tweaks along the way, however the overall look and feel has remained the same. The Accent's success has been driven by its value for money proposition and its reliable build.
For 2011, Hyundai has given the Accent a bit of a make over in terms of adding a new chrome finish front grille, body colored waistline mouldings, chrome inserts as well as a chrome garnish to the numberplates. The interiors remain the same and so does the engine. What customers get is a reliable vehicle that now boasts of enhanced looks that definitely offer the car an extended lease on life.
Like the existing Accent model, Hyundai has priced the 2011 edition rather competitively at Rs. 501,900 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), which retains its entire value for money appeal. The Accent has always been a great choice as an entry level sedan and despite the growing competition, the car has managed to hold it own.
