Honda has always been passionate about imbibing the love for motorsports in its potential client base. It has been a decade since Honda has been organising events to promote fun but safe riding across the country. Over the years, the programs have differed but every year the target has remained the same, to keep the zest in young talent alive. Honda has also been promoting two-wheeler racing in India through its One Make Championship. The Japanese two-wheeler giant also has been instrumental in giving Indian racers a platform and opportunity to race on the international stage.
We had one of our senior correspondents, Arun Nadar, visit Honda’s One Make Media Race in Chennai this July. There, he and the other participants were first made to go through a training program which was headed by Ramji Govindarajan, the founder of the Ten10 racing association in India. This training program was followed by a fiercely competitive race. All in all, it was a fun, learning experience for Arun. He believes he came out as a faster and a safer driver, having realised that there’s so much more to learn in this field than one would have assumed.
While Honda keeps running such training programs in association with Ten10, here is your chance to avail its benefits from home. Honda is holding an online seminar or a ‘webinar’ -if you will- on Motorsport Racing. It will be led by Ramji Govindrajan and held on September 16, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The registration is currently open online and all interested racing enthusiasts can register in advance for free. This webinar aims to educate those that plan to pursue a career in motorsports and will talk about 6 topics in specific.
-Various racing platforms that exist currently
-How to start a racing career in India through HTRA
-The basic needs and requirements to start a career
-Important aspects of safety and risks involved
-The possible career opportunities
-Lessons on sponsorship and finance
There will also be some time reserved after the session for questions that will be answered by the team.
