Valentino Rossi signed Yamaha R1 up for auction

A Yamaha R1 draped in the Movistar liver similar to Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP motorcycle and bearing his signature has come up for auction. Proceedings from this auction will be donated to charity organization La Gotita Onlus

Celebrity autographs have always been sought after and if you’re talking about MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi, the stakes are even higher. A special edition Yamaha R1 finished in identical Movistar livery as seen on Rossi’s Yamaha M1 premiere class machine has come up for auction. What makes this Yamaha R1 even more special is the fact that it will bear the signature of Valentino Rossi on the on the front cowl and the fuel tank. And to safeguard The Doctor’s signature it will also come with another clear coat above it.

The special edition Yamaha R1 will be auctioned for charity and the proceedings of the auction will go to the charity organization La Gotita Onlus and will fund their project "Pasitos". Pasitos is a program that provides pedagogical and psychological support to more than sixty children with disabilities. Rossi had also similarly auctioned of his race suit last year for charity and this year too he returns to support a noble cause. Apart from the Rossi signature and the MotoGP livery, the special edition Yamaha R1 is bone stock on the mechanical front. Interested buyers can bid on the Rossi signed Yamaha R1 till September 18th and given the exclusivity attached along with the charity factor expect the motorcycle to cost a fortune. The current highest bid for the Yamaha R1 stands at Rs 25.3 lakh and this number is expected to rise significantly as the auction comes to a close.
