The new TVS StaR City+ gets some cosmetic updates to make it more appealing, just in time for the festive season

If you’re in the market for a reliable and economical two-wheeler, here’s some news that just might tickle your fancy. TVS Motors has announced the launch of the TVS StaR City+ dual-tone variant for this festive season. You can get the new TVS StaR City+ in three different colours - Black red, Black blue and Red black. It is priced at Rs 50,534 (ex-showroom Delhi), and will be available across India.

The New TVS StaR City Plus

The StaR City+ comes with 4-speed “Ecothrust” engine which churns out 8.4 PS of power and 8.7Nm of torque at 7000 rpm.  According to TVS, the StaR City+ has an impressive fuel economy of 86 kmpl, one of the best in its class.

In terms of design the StaR City+ still retains its honeycomb-textured side panel grills, while adding new features like trendy rear view mirrors, black alloy wheels, a flashy tail lamp and a black grab rail. It also comes with an all new TVS chrome 3D label. 

TVS has equipped the StaR City+ with features like Automatic Headlight On (AHO) and a semi-digital instrument cluster with econometer and service indicator. The new StaR City+ rides on telescopic shock absorbers up front and dual five-step adjustable shock absorbers at the rear.

The new TVS commuter motorcycle will compete against the Honda Dream series, Hero Passion, Bajaj Discover 100 and the Yamaha Saluto RX.
