If recent spy shots are to be believed, TVS is gearing up to launch the Dazz for the Indian market. The new 110cc TVS scooter was spotted testing in Hosur recently. The Dazz was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and was made available only in overseas markets like Indonesia.
Internationally, the TVS Dazz is available in both carburetted and fuel-injected versions. However, we are expecting TVS to bring the carburetted version here.
Mechanically, the Dazz is powered by a 109.65cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This mill produces 8.35PS of power and 8.3Nm of torque at 5500rpm in the carburetted version and 8.7PS of power and 8.7Nm of torque at 5500rpm in the fuel-injected version.
TVS has equipped the Dazz with telescopic forks at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear. For braking, the scooter utilises a single disc unit at the front and a drum unit at the back. It is seen running on large 14-inch wheels, only seen on the Aprilia SR 150 in India.
If launched in the country, the Dazz will serve as another option to TVS' other 110cc offering, the Zest. We are expecting it to be priced in the region of around Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000 (ex-showroom). Along with the Dazz, the Hosur-based company may also launch a heavily tuned 125cc scooter.
