Macbor is a motorcycle brand based in Barcelona, Spain, claims a heritage of more than 50 years, yet has largely remained unnoticed on the global stage.
However, within Spain, Macbor seems to have built a dedicated following. A quick visit to Macbor’s official website reveals that the brand sources its motorcycles from China. Many of its models appear to be rebadged versions of existing Chinese bikes.
The Montana XR5 510 is Macbor’s entry into the growing market for adventure motorcycles at the entry level. With competitors like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 making waves in this segment, Macbor's Montana XR5 takes a slightly different approach.
The Macbor Montana XR5 510 is powered by a 498cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine, delivering 47PS and 45Nm of torque. The bike has a dry weight of 178kg and a seat height of 841mm, with an option to lower it to 820mm. It also offers a ground clearance of 211mm.

In terms of hardware, the Montana is equipped with a fully adjustable KYB 41 mm inverted fork and a fully adjustable KYB monoshock. A 5-inch colour TFT display provides all the necessary information, with mobile connectivity, and the bike features LED headlamps and tail lamps.
The Montana rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, both of which are tubeless spoke wheels and gets dual disc brakes at the front. It is available in four colours: Blue, white, black and red.
While the Macbor Montana XR5 510 brings an interesting mix of features and versatility, it’s unlikely to make its way to India anytime soon. However, if it were to arrive, it could pose a strong challenge to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
