The SUV when launched, might get the 3.6-litre FSI petrol engine from the 2016 VW Passat

Volkswagen teramont

Volkswagen (VW), three years ago came up with a seven-seater concept, the CrossBlue (now named as the Teramont), and now, the mule car has finally been spotted. When the car was just a concept, it had a very muscular appearance, and now, the production version has retained the same muscular stance as that of the concept.

As far as the exterior is concerned, the SUV is long and has a boxy shape. It has muscular wheel arches, the grille has two-slat sleek portion, the front bumper has been tweaked to give the car a bold look, it has got a new set of tail lamps, a horizontal chrome strip that runs along the entire boot gate and a V6 badge.

The cabin looks elegant and has a premium finish. It is loaded with features such as -- a large touchscreen infotainment system, the steering wheel is a three-spoke flat-bottom unit which is mounted with controls, maroon shade leather upholstery, ample rear legroom and the rear seats include command switches for the front seats.

Speaking of the mechanics, as the SUV has a V6 badge at the rear, it is quite possible that the car might get the 3.6-litre, V6,  FSI petrol engine from the 2016 VW Passat which is capable of producing 275PS of power. It is a purpose-built SUV for North America and China and very soon will make its way to the rest of the globe. The chances of the car hitting the Indian shores are narrow, but nevertheless, we can hope for the best. When launched, the SUV will be placed between the upcoming Touareg and the Tiguan.
