As is evident from the table above, the mid and top-spec variants -- XZ+ and XZ+ LUX -- have gotten dearer by Rs 16,000. Despite the latest hike, the Nexon EV is still one of the most affordable long-range electric vehicles.
PS: If your Nexon EV’s warranty and free service is expiring between April and May, don’t fret. Tata Motors has extended the period till June 2021.
Performance is brisk, thanks to the 129PS/245Nm electric motor that drives the front wheels. We tested and found it could go from 0-100kmph in 9.58 seconds (in the ‘Sport’ mode). A 30.2kWh battery pack powers the electric motor. The Nexon EV is capable of an ARAI-claimed 312km range.
The battery pack supports fast charging too. A DC fast charger can top up the battery from 0-80 percent in an hour.
