Tata Motors has teased the Nexon EV Dark Edition ahead of its launch on July 07, 2021. The all-black electric vehicle has arrived at select dealerships, with a handful taking bookings.
The Nexon EV will sport a similar black finish as the ICE-powered Nexon Dark Edition. However, the electric vehicle retains blue highlights on the front bumper and rear bumper to denote it’s the emissions free model. That said, the blue strip below the windowline has been replaced by matte black to give that stealthy look.
A similar theme has been followed on the inside, where the electric vehicle will feature an all-black dashboard with blue highlights. Even the seat upholstery and door pads are finished in…. black. It also carries forward the updated infotainment system that recently debuted in the Nexon EV.
The Dark Edition electric vehicle will boast the same features and powertrain as the standard model. To know more about it in detail, you can read our in-depth first drive review of the Nexon EV.
Like the Harrier Dark Edition, the all-black Nexon EV is likely to be limited to the higher-spec variants only. It could also command a Rs 20,000 premium over the standard colours. Currently, the Nexon EV is priced from Rs 13.99 lakh, making it one of the most affordable long range EVs on sale in India. It is a relatively affordable alternative to the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.
