Tata Motors has associated with Uber technologies and successfully delivered the first 50 cars under the ‘Tata Offer’ to Uber drivers based out of Bengaluru. This initiative has been taken for aiming towards the foster micro-entrepreneurship in Bangalore that offers the drivers on the Uber platform a comprehensive vehicle purchase and an ownership solution with a minimum down payment of Rs 30,000 and along with that a speedy funding which will commence within seven to ten days.
Nakul Gupta, Regional Manager, PVBU, Tata Motors said, “We are delighted to have partnered with Uber to deliver seamless solutions for drivers in Bangalore. Reiterating our commitment to our partnership, this initiative will help solve the problems faced by drivers at the time of buying a car, by removing hurdles and making the buying process as smooth and quick as possible.”
The ‘Tata Offer’ investes in fuel-efficient cars like the Indica and the Indigo. Tata Motors is also using flexible financing solutions from Tata Capital Financial Services and Tata Motors Finance for Uber drivers. The carmaker has supplied 31 Indicas and 25 Indigos to the driver partners with a hope to enable more than 20,000 drivers on the Uber platform and along with that the customers will also receive free accessories such as GPS, external warranty, and insurance with this offer.
Tata Motors has improved its service in Karnataka and with increased focus on support, service quality, and service offerings at their workshops. Tata has jumped to the second position in the Customer Service Index which took place in Bangalore in 2015, scoring 940 points. Tata Motors will continue to offer industry-leading service offerings and will support driver partners of Uber with best-in-class after-sales service across 11 workshops in Bangalore.
