Narayanan Menon from Coimbatore clocks an unbelievable fuel efficiency figure of 46.33 kmpl with his Manza Quadrajet

46.33 km to the litre. At first glance this might read like the fuel efficiency figures of any run of the mill commuter motorcycle. But what these actually are, are the unbelievable figures spewed out by a Tata Manza.

On the long Coimbatore- Avinashi by-pass on 25th of May 2010, the Manza Quadrajet Aura driven by Mr. Narayanan Menon, Managing Director of Aromen Engineering Company covered a distance of 73.2 kilometer stretch by consuming only 1.58 liters of diesel, which translates to an incredible mileage of 46.33 km per litre. This coming from a 1248cc, 4- cylinder diesel engine is nothing short of brilliant. With 200 Nm of torque available from as low as 1750 rpm, the Manza’s Quadrajet mill is simply tailor made for good fuel efficiency.

This feat achieved by Mr. Narayanan Menon, a resident of Coimbatore has zoomed into the Limca Book of Records. A mechanical engineer, Mr. Menon himself does not credit an amazing mileage to a 'magic foot' rather a combination of good driving and car maintenance.
