Skoda VisionS concept

Set to debut at the upcoming 2016 Geneva Auto Show, Skoda has teased their upcoming seven-seater SUV concept, the VivionS. The new SUV will most likely adopt the Kodiak  name when it makes it to production sometime later in 2016 or early 2017. The new crossover SUV will also make its way to India and could slot between the Octavia and the Superb when launched.

Although we cant ascertain much when it comes to the way the car looks, the new muscular look that encompases all new Skoda products is present in the VisionS. The SUV concept will get a large and prominent grille, slender LED headlamps and a large air intake. There will also be a sharp character line and large alloy wheels that will make it onto the SUV.

The new Skoda SUV will be the first ever car that Skoda makes that will be a seven seater SUV. There will also be a six seater configuration with captain seats in the centre row to offer a more luxurious seating configuration. When it makes its way to India, the Skoda Kodiak or VisionS luxury SUV will possibly be about Rs 30 lakh and will go up against cars like the Toyota Fortuner, the Ford Endeavour and the Chevrolet Trailblazer along with soft roaders like the Hyundai SantaFe and the Honda CRV. The new car will also go up against the likes of the Nissan X-Trail which will be launched in India with a petrol hybrid engine.
