Tushek lightweight supercars eye the competition

Tushek Supercars is a little known supercar maker from Slovenia that has made their very first car, the Renovatio T500. At this point it would not be unnatural to wonder how reliable and safe a supercar made by a new company from a country with little experience in making supercars would turn out. 

Not everyone knows that Slovenia has been manufacturing components for vehicles in Europe so much so that 21 percent of the countries’ exports are made by their automobile industry. Tushek Supercars believes in creating light weight high performance cars that could be their key to instant fame in the automobile world. 

Renovatio T500

Despite being a supercar the Tushek Renovatio T500 weights just 1,133 kgs, which makes it 600kgs lighter than even a Ferrari California. Tushek Supercars has chosen the 4.2 litre TFSI engine from the Audi RS4 to power its Renovatio T500 model. In the T500 the engine produces 456PS of power and churns out 428Nm of torque. An exceptional power to weight ratio on the T500 makes it adequately capable of a completing a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.7 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 11.5 seconds and a top whack of 310 km/h. 

The Tushek Renovatio T500 has a near perfect 47-53 front and rear weight distribution for excellent handling traits. The T500 has a pushrod suspension at the front and double wishbones at the rear. The vehicle also has adjustable ride height and comes with a removable hardtop roof. It also has an integrated roll cage, carbon fibre brakes and a carbon fibre rear spoiler. 

Just 30 Tushek Renovatio T500s will be produced. Prices for the Renovatio T500 will start from Rs. 1.91crore onwards. Deliveries will begin after mid 2012.

Forego T700 

Tushek Supercars’ next vehicle, the Forego T700 is looking to directly take on the all-new Lamborghini Aventador and that’s a big deal for a new supercar maker. 

Like the Renovatio T500 the key to success for the Tushek Forego T700 will be its lightweight. Tushek Supercars have said that the vehicle will weigh less than 1,000 kgs, that’s lighter than a Ford Figo! The Forego T700 will chuck out upwards of 700PS of power. Considering that the Lamborghini Aventador weighs 1,575 kgs and develops 700PS of power the new boy Forego T700 may just have an edge over the Italian super bull.
