The Renault Triber is dearer by up to Rs 13,000, with the base-spec variant being the most affected. Meanwhile, the RXL and RXT manual variants have been the least affected.
The Triber is one of Renault’s cash cows in the country. This is no doubt helped by its capability of carrying seven people in decent comfort. Moreover, its compact footprint means it’s easy to drive in the urban jungle with your family.
The Triber is powered by Renault’s 1.0-litre petrol engine churning out 72PS of power and 96Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. Unlike the Kwid, the Triber’s AMT comes with a tiptronic function if you intend to take matters into your own hands. A 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine developing around 100PS is also on the cards for Renault’s MPV.

The Renault Triber fights it out with entry-level MPVs such as the Datsun Go+. It can also be a practical alternative to the Ford Figo, Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
