Here are some of the India-bound SUVs that are to be showcased at the show

Paris Motor Show

The Paris Motor Show is one of the biggest motor shows in the world. Every year the show witness a plethora of launches and concept showcases, out of which many make it to the real world. The grand show will be no different this year also as manufacturers around the world will bring their latest cars for the public. Let’s put some light on some of the cars slated to be showcased that are expected to make their way to India as well.

2017 Audi Q5

The German car giant has been found testing its next-generation Q5 SUV several times in European countries. The manufacturer will be showcasing it in the show and is expected to launch the car in early 2017 globally. As indicated by spy shots -- like the one you see above -- it will carry Audi’s single-frame grille and the sharp exterior cues as seen on its latest cars. Up inside, the car will get the latest technological updates, such as the all-digital instrument cluster, the latest generation interior layout and infotainment system. We expect the car to make it to India in the second half of 2017.

Skoda Kodiaq

Skoda’s first shot at the full-sized SUV segment, the Kodiaq, will make its first public debut at the Paris Motor Show. The Czech manufacturer had teased the car several times in the past and we also had the opportunity to test the prototype and were quite impressed. The car could easily become the highest selling Skoda globally and a good seller in India as well. However, the Kodiaq will take around a year to make it to India.

A few days ago the Discovery was spied in what seemed to be its production avatar. When launched, the SUV will sit above the Discovery Sport, which is currently available in the country. The car will be replacing the Discovery 4 and, as the manufacturer claims, draws some of its aesthetics. The car is expected to be launched in late 2017 in India, however, the global launch could take place soon after the official reveal.

SsangYong Rexton

Mahindra-owned SUV manufacturer SsangYong is expected to preview the all-new avatar of its flagship SUV Rexton. The new car is expected to carry a futuristic appeal, while carrying the core DNA of a SsangYong car. As the car will be previewed for the very first time there’s no certainty about whether the launch will take place late in 2017 or somewhere in 2018.
