Available in both petrol and diesel variants, Porsche is currently accepting orders for the Platinum Edition of the Cayenne, with deliveries scheduled to commence in August 2016

Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition - Front

Porsche India has launched the Platinum Edition version of its luxurious SUV, the Cayenne. Carrying a sporty appearance, the special edition model is offered with more premium-quality features. The Platinum Edition is available for the petrol as well as diesel versions of the Cayenne. While the petrol model is priced at Rs 1,06,68,000, the diesel is available at Rs 1,08,86,000 (both ex-showroom, Maharashtra).

Speaking about the Cayenne Platinum Edition, the luxurious SUV comes with large 20-inch Spyder design alloy wheels that are accentuated by wider wheel arches. The standard equipment available on the SUV consists of Bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Power Steering Plus and ParkAssist in the front and rear. In addition to this, the special edition offers rear-view and exterior mirrors with an automatic anti-glare feature.

Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition - Door Sill

Stepping inside the SUV, one is firstly greeted by the stainless steel door sills showcasing the "Platinum Edition" lettering. The interiors are draped in leather sports seats, Alcantara centre panels and the company’s logo on all headrests. The additional features that are included in the Platinum Edition Cayenne model are a seven-inch touchscreen with latest generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Siri voice and a BOSE audio system. The dashboard also adorns an integrated analogue clock that further ups the exclusivity of the SUV. 

Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition - Rear

Both the versions of the Platinum Edition are powered by the same engines that are present in the entry-level Cayenne models. The petrol is powered by a 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine that belts out 300PS of power and 400Nm of peak torque. The diesel, on the other hand, comes with 3.0-litre V6 motor that churns out 245PS of power and 550Nm of peak torque. Both engines come mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission.

Porsche will be retailing the Cayenne Platinum Edition for a limited period and has already started accepting orders. Customers can expect the deliveries of their special edition Cayenne by August 2016.
