New Triumph Bonneville

It is no secret that Triumph Motorcycles have been busy developing a new range of motorcycles. The British bikemaker confirmed the above as it released a teaser video hinting that something big is heading our way. The upcoming motorcycle being teased is the liquid-cooled range of the iconic Bonneville motorcycles. The Triumph Bonneville is the most popular product for the British bikemaker and its classic looks and tried and tested air-cooled powerplants have been popular among bikers for many decades.

But with emissions getting stringent by the day, it was inevitable that the Triumph Bonneville will have to adopt liquid-cooling technology to bridge past the emission norms. The new generation of the Triumph Bonneville will be showcased on October 28th, 2015. It is expected that minor cosmetic changes will be made on the Triumph Bonnie as the classic styling is among the main reasons for its success. The new Triumph Bonneville is most likely to be showcased in various variants including a cafe racer, a replacement for the T100 and a bobber version.

Both the café racer and the new Bonneville T100 will be powered by a new liquid-cooled motor with a rumoured displacement of 1,100cc parallel twin engine making around 90PS; that is a significant 22PS jump in power than what the 865cc air-cooled parallel twin of the current Triumph Bonneville makes.  The new base Bonneville may however get a smaller engine, displacing less than 1100cc. We can expect the next generation Triumph Bonneville range to make their Indian debut at the 2016 Auto Expo.
