Triumph Motorcycles has revealed a new motorcycle that will soon join the company’s latest Bonneville range. The new Bonneville Bobber has been unveiled just a week after Triumph showcased the new 100 at Intermot. As the name suggests, the new Bonneville Bobber takes inspiration from classic American Bobber motorcycles.

In terms of design, the bike is notably different from the other Bonneville bikes in Triumph’s stable. Built on an all-new frame, the bike features a classic retro look with the typical single bobber seat, stripped-back looks and flat bars. Other highlights include the hardtail-look frame and the signature hidden rear suspension, as seen on original Bobber bikes. At the rear, the tail lamp, indicator and number plate light are all LED. On the mechanical front, the bike comes with shorter front forks that aid to the bike’s handling. The bike features a slash-cut exhaust system that is lighter and shorter, as claimed by Triumph. The floating seat is adjustable and sits on top of a cantilever spring. The position can be adjusted front or back and up or down as per the requirement. Even the instrument console can be tilted forward or backward to allow better viewing.

Powering the Bonneville Bobber is the 1200cc high-torque motor that also does duty on the T120. Being a Bobber, Triumph has tuned the engine to provide a slightly higher torque, to suit its characteristics, as compared to the T120. A new dual-chamber airbox has been installed to further improve the power delivery. In terms of electronics, like the other Bonneville bikes, the Bobber is equipped with ABS, ride-by-wire, traction control and torque-assist clutch. It also comes with two riding modes – road and wet.
