Skoda is all set to reintroduce its most successful model in India, the Octavia, today. The new sedan wll be larger than the Laura (which actually is the second-gen Octavia) and come in three trims namely, Active, Elegance and Ambition, and three engine options -- a 1.4-litre and 1.8-litre petrol, and a 2.0-litre diesel. Transmission options comprise a seven-speed DSG automatic (the 1.8TSI will be offered with only this) or a six-speed manual (the base petrol model will come with only a manual shif
The car follows Skoda’s new Vision D design philosophy and has the redesigned grille with a refined Skoda badge which is the signature design for all future Skoda vehicles. Standard features across the range are 16-inch alloy wheels, electronically adjustable and foldable mirrors, ABS, dual front airbags, traction control, driver’s seat height adjustment, steering adjustment, audio system with an SD card reader, rear air-con vents, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, gearlever and handbrake.
