MV Agusta might launch an updated version of the Brutale 1090 with a new inline-four cylinder motor sourced from the MV Agusta F4

MV Agusta Brutale

MV Agusta hasn’t had found the going easy in 2016 after facing financial troubles which also gave rise to rumours that the Italian brand has gone bankrupt. Despite facing the odds, Giovanni Castiglioni, CEO MV Agusta had announced that it will launch two new motorcycles at the 2016 edition of the EICMA motorcycle show in November. According to reports, the new motorcycle in question is a new Brutale. It is expected that the Varese based manufacturer will endow the Brutale with a new in-line four motor.

The engine for the naked bike will be sourced from the flagship MV Agusta F4. The new motor will be Euro4 emission norm compliant and also will hike the power figures for the motorcycle which is a great move we feel. The MV Agusta Brutale is among the most popular bikes for the Italian brand but has been overshadowed with the new breed of supernakeds which have stepped the ante. The increase in power figures should make the flagship Brutale a viable rival to the new bikes. The new motorcycle is also expected to get MVICS electronics package added to its repertoire and semi-active suspension system. We can also expect the cycle parts to be improved in the newer model along with minor cosmetic updates on similar lines to the Brutale 800 which got an update last year. The other new MV Agusta will be based on the 800cc motor, though it isn’t clear yet if the special model will be based off the F3, Brutale, Dragster, or Turismo Veloce.
