New Hyundai Sonata Prices Announced

After taking the wraps of its sixth generation Sonata model at the 2012 Auto Expo, Hyundai has now announced that its 'fluidic architecture' modeled mainstream luxury sedan will sell at an offer price of Rs 18.52 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)

With the growing penetration of an all new beautifully sculpted passenger car arsenal here in India, Hyundai’s presence in the market is only growing from strength to strength. And while the number have already begun to do the talking in the A2 and entry level C segments, the Korean car maker’s flagship products for India, the Hyundai Sonata and the elite Elantra are now marking their resurrection in style and finesse.

Having already dazzled Auto Expo crowds at the unveiling of its aggressively styled Sonata model, the fluidic car maker has now announced the prices of  the manual transmission model at Rs 18.52 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and the automatic transmission model at Rs 20.61 (ex-showroom Delhi).

This sixth generation Sonata has been severely upgraded and now boasts of interesting features like front and rear seat ventilation, front seat warmers, high intensity Xenon head lamps, cruise control, paddle shift, 10-way adjustable power seat with lumbar support and a 4-way power adjustable front co-driver seat.

A mighty impressive 2.4 liter GDi (Gasoline Direct Injection) petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions on the new Sonata offers enhanced performance and fuel efficiency. The engineering excellence is extended to the suspensions by way of having hi-tech ASD (Amplitude Selective Damper) resulting in improved driving comfort.

The 2012 Hyundai Sonata (Read : First Drive) is high on safety and is equipped with 6 airbags, electronic stability program (ESP) with traction control system (TCS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and rear view camera for added convenience when trying to park or maneuver the vehicle in tight spots.

Standard up quotient features like smart key with push button start and an eye catching VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) cluster and an X-shaped centre fascia should make the new Hyundai Sonata stand out amongst all its high pedigree competitors, the likes of the Skoda Superb, Volkswagen Passat and Honda Accord.
