NAVTEQ Launches Real-Time Traffic Service in India

As global experts in the art of manufacturing accurate traffic and location data enabling navigation systems, NAVTEQ products have constantly evolved for their growing customer needs, and now with penetration as deep as 2,200 cities throughout India, NAVTEQ’s most recently introduced real-time information service should now add further comfort and convenience to drivers in two of the country’s most densely populates cities.

At the 2012 Auto Expo NAVTEQ launched its renowned NAVTEQ Traffic Pro real-time traffic service for Delhi and Mumbai, which according to a comprehensive real-time traffic research in the country will now help drivers spend 9% less time sitting in congestion.  By reducing unnecessary distance travel CO2 emissions per driver should come down by as much as 628 kilograms, or 23% less than a driver without a navigation system.
