Hero Xtreme 200R Price Revealed

Almost six months after unveiling it, Hero MotoCorp has (accidentally?) revealed the prices of the much awaited Hero Xtreme 200R. The company has delivered on its promise by pricing the 200R at Rs 88,000 (ex-showroom) for the standard ABS variant, making it the most affordable 200cc motorcycle in India.

All said, the pricing on the official website is only limited for the eastern part of the country. Particularly West Bengal and its neighbouring north eastern states, leaving out other major cities in the country. Hence, it won't be too surprising to see a minor price hike in cities like Mumbai and Pune, for when Hero does decide to launch the bike.

Speaking of 125cc scooters, Suzuki is also set to launch the Burgman Street in the upcoming days. The maxi-styled scooter, which first made its debut in the country at the Auto Expo 2018 will be launched in India on July 19.

While full-spec maxi scooters are still some time away from arriving in India, the Suzuki Burgman Street should be able to fill that void for the time being. After all, it is designed after the Suzuki Burgman 200, which has been a popular offering in the European markets. The Burgman Street is said to carry the same engine as that of the Suzuki Access 125, along with some new features.

Royal Enfield Continental GT 535 discontinued

Motorcycle Mayhem Of The Week: Hero Xtreme 200R Price Revealed, 2018 Honda Activa 125 Launched, Suzuki Burgman Street Launch Date Confirmed & More

Showrooms across Mumbai and Pune are reporting that Royal Enfield has officially stopped the sale of the Continental GT 535 in both international and domestic markets. This can be attributed to its falling sales number and the imminent arrival of the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650.

The cafe racer first made its debut back in 2012 but didn’t get as good a reception as other RE motorcycles do. This might as well have been due to the styling of the motorcycle and its performance. However, with the recent popularity of neo-retro motorcycles, we're expecting the Conti GT 650 to receive an opposite reaction from the general public.

This will most likely be an electric scooter, however, the company hasn't ruled out the possibility of bringing an electric motorcycle too.

Suzuki's portfolio already consists of an electric scooter, the e-Let's. However, it was only limited to the Japanese market and was discontinued shortly due to its expensive pricing and minuscule range of 30km. But, with the advancement in technology, prices can now be brought down to an affordable level. So, is an e-Let's revival on the cards? Click here to know more.
