More power in the Anniversary Camaro

Chevrolet Camaro has been one of the most popular cars of the American car manufacturer ever since its launch in 1966. This year the car completes 45 years and Chevy launches a new and more powerful Camaro to celebrate its anniversary. 

The 2012 model which will be launched to celebrate the 45 year anniversary of the car will holler with a 3.6 litre V6 direct injection engine and an all new suspension. The new engine draws 323 horsepower which is an 11 horsepower increase from the 2011 model. The car is also more efficient as compared to its predecessor since it is 9.3kg lighter. Weighing on the same scale, the new LFX engine boasts of better features like camshaft and throttle body design enhancements, optimized flow-fuel injectors, stronger and lighter connecting rods as compare to the 2011 3.6 litre V6.

Needless to say the design has undergone a makeover as well. A new instrument panel with better looking graphics and trim, a fresh-looking steering wheel, and a power lift seat for the front passenger. On the outside, a new spoiler will be a standard feature in the upcoming Camaro, a Crystal Red Tintcoat substitutes the jewel Red exterior colour.   

The new car has a white instrument panel with the 45th anniversary logo is also seen on the seats, the steering wheel, sill plates and on the outside. The anniversary car will be offered in 2LT and 2SS variants for both coupe and convertible body styles. The Special Edition Camaro will make its first appearance at the Camaro5 Fest II on April 15 in Arizona.
