Michelin is working towards launching off-road tyres, which will be manufactured by TVS Tyres, in India next year

Michelin new tyre range

The Indian market is relatively small when we talk about off-roading, especially when it comes to motorcycles. Speaking about off-roading, one thing that is highly necessary is a pair of good quality tyres. Michelin’s new television commercial, along with the press conference, revealed that this French tyre making company has many more plans coming up in the future. Gary Guthrie, president of the two-wheeler division, said, “We have rolled out 20 products so far. Even more, will come.”

The tyre maker states that it has more than doubled its business in India for the past two years and, as India is planning to become the world’s largest two-wheeler market, Michelin is more than interested in setting its grounds on the Indian markets. To that end, Michelin is focusing on launching off-road tyres in the country.

Michelin Anakee Wild

Michelin's tyre sales is growing day by day with the presence of 3,000 dealers and points of sale across the country. This company is currently selling seven types of tyre ranges, that include a mix of imported radial, sirac street and city pro tyres manufactured by TVS Tyres for Michelin. They are also likely to introduce its new Anakee Wild tyre, which is a dual-sport type and will help maintain the riders’ balance on and off-road. This will be a good mix for Indian riders who cross all boundaries and limits for hardcore off-road riding. Michelin also states that the Anakee Wild will be the first one of its kind of off-road radial tyres. These tyres will have a longer life and also help riders cross their off-road limits with a lot of stability and comfort.
