Mercedes-Benz Organises 7th LuxeDrive In Gurgaon

It was a customer engagement programme organised by the German car firm.

LuxeDrive, an event crafted for Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts, was organised in Gurgaon over the August 27/ 28 weekend. In its seventh season running, LuxeDrive is organised to with an aim to further strengthen the brand’s image as one of the elite car marques in the country.

There were several activities lined up for every kind of customer. Through a series of self-driving exercises on specially designed tracks, a keen driver could enjoy the performance of the vehicle. Apart from getting a self-driving experience, patrons were also driven by expert drivers to showcase the car’s various features, both on the road and off it. During the event, the attendees also had the chance to experience the ‘Ah-My-God!’ (AMG) side of it. The enthusiasts could experience some of the most powerful cars built by the German brand with its in-house tuning division AMG.

While the parents were busy experiencing the Mercedes-Benz side of the automotive world, kids had a separate area where they were engrossed in fun activities and games. There was a separate zone for people who wanted to purchase Mercedes-Benz merchandise. Additionally, the German carmaker’s pre-owned car sales team held a free car evaluation in the same premises.

On the occasion, Roland Folger, managing director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, reportedly said, "Gurgaon has always remained one of the prominent markets for Mercedes-Benz India. The Manhattan of India has a strong potential for luxury automobiles and the burgeoning economy in the region drives us to be present here with unique customer engagement initiatives like LuxeDrive. The prosperous region has been renowned for its ardent motoring enthusiasts for many years now. With innovative events like Luxe Drive, we aim at winning the hearts and minds of consumers by engaging with them on an interpersonal level.”

He further added, "This is the seventh LuxeDrive we are conducting in 2016 and we will be taking this initiative to other cities before the end of the year. We believe Gurgaon has an incessantly growing and knowledgeable customer base that appreciates luxury. Keeping our winning philosophy in mind, we promise to create more such fascinating experiences synonymous with the 'Three Pointed Star' and aim to retain the brand loyalty and also to start a dialogue with potential customers."

LuxeDrive will take place in Ahmedabad on September 24 and 25, before it goes to Mumbai on October 15 and 16. In November, the same programme will be held in Calicut and Pune – November 5 and 6 and November 19 and 20, respectively. The customer outreach event will sign off from the calendar year by covering two more cities – Indore (on December 3 and 4) and Ludhiana (on December 17 and 18).
