Maserati opens first ever showroom in Mumbai

Maserati is finally in Mumbai with its first ever showroom. The all-new fascility, Petal Maserati is located at the brand new Taj Hotel at the Santacruz Airport. The new showroom in Mumbai is the third new showroom that the Italian marquee has opened in India since its re-entry into the Indian automotive market last year.

The new showroom, run by the Global Planet Petal (GPP) group also has other luxury automotive showrooms in other parts of the country. Apart from the showroom, Petal Maserati also has a 10,000 square foot service centre in Marol which is a suburb of Mumbai with a fully trained staff and equipment to handle the whole Maserati range. Sukhbir Bagga, Managing Director of the GPP group spoke to ZigWheels briefly and said how it was great to finally have a presence in Mumbai. He also mentioned to us that the Petal Maserati operations has already delivered 9 cars in Mumbai in the recent past and both enquiries and general sales for all Maserati models have been great.

In India, Maserati currently sells its whole range which includes the Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans along with the GranTourismo and GranCabrio sportscars. Maserati’s Indian operations will also sell the Levante SUV which has just been previewed ahead of the Geneva Auto Show. The new showroom in Mumbai will go a long way in boosting the Maserati brand image in the city of Mumbai that has traditionally been a good market for sportscars and luxury cars.
