Mahindra XUV500 crosses 1.5 lakh sales milestone

Homegrown auto major, Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that its popular SUV – the XUV500 has crossed the 1.5 lakh sales milestone which includes the exports. The popular SUV had crossed the one lakh sales milestone just last year. The XUV500 has also completed four successful years on global roads. Speaking on the XUV500 milestone, Pravin Shah, President and Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said, “This is a proud moment for us as the XUV500 reaches this milestone. This achievement reaffirms the XUV500’s immense popularity as it continues to set new standards in its category.”

The Mahindra XUV500 comes equipped with a 2.2-litre four-cylinder M-hawk oil burner churning out 140PS of power and 330Nm of torque. The engine is be paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. 

The Mahindra XUV500 retails at a price tag between Rs 11.21 lakh and 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
