  • The Mojo 300 ABS comes with features from both the XT 300 and UT 300.
  • It is slightly less powerful when compared to the older Mojo XT 300.
  • It gets dual-channel ABS as standard to comply with new safety norms.

Mahindra’s upcoming tourer, the Mojo 300 ABS, is almost here and we’ve received information about its price and specification well ahead of its launch. Our sources have revealed that the new motorcycle will be priced at Rs 1,88,800 (ex-showroom Bangalore). This makes it Rs 4,290 more expensive than the Mojo XT 300.

The motorcycle was spotted at a dealership just last week, so expect Mahindra to make an official launch announcement pretty soon.

The Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS is powered by a 294.72cc (same capacity as the Mojo UT 300) single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, DOHC engine. Mated to a 6-speed transmission, the powerplant dishes out 26.29PS at 7500rpm and 28Nm at 5500rpm. In comparison with the carburetted Mojo UT 300, the new motor is more powerful by 3.19PS and 2.8Nm. But interestingly, the engine in the new bike makes 0.9PS and 2Nm less than the Mojo XT 300. It seems like Mahindra has tuned the engine in the new bike to be a middle ground between the now-discontinued variants in order to keep costs in check.

The Mojo 300 employs a traditional fork up front as opposed to the inverted unit in the Mojo XT 300. The rear, however, retains the same gas-charged monoshock unit. The wheel travel (143.5mm front and 135mm rear) also remains the same as the XT 300 and UT 300. Brakes include the same 320mm petal disc up front and 240mm conventional disc at the rear. However, the new bike uses ByBre radial caliper up front and ByBre floating caliper at the rear instead of the J.Juan units seen earlier. It also gets dual-channel ABS as standard to comply with new safety norms. The 17-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in110-section front and 140-section rear Pirelli Angel CT rubber..
