Mahindra showcased the Quanto compact MUV, the Navistar Tourister minibus and the Maxximo utility vehicle at the 2013 International Bus and Utility Vehicle Show

Mahindra made its presence felt at the 2013 International Bus and Utility Vehicle Show by showcasing the Quanto compact MUV, the Navistar Tourister minibus and the Maxximo utility vehicle. 

The Mahindra Quanto is the first compact MUV in India. Its sub four meter length allows it for tax concessions usually availed by hatchbacks for sporting an attractive price tag. The prices for the Mahindra Quanto range between Rs 6.09 lakh to Rs 7.66 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Quanto has seven seats and is powered by a three cylinder common rail diesel engine that develops 102PS of power and 240Nm of torque. 

The Mahindra Maxximo is a utility vehicle that can seat eight people and is claimed to have the world’s first two cylinder common rail diesel engine. The engine develops 25PS of power and 55Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox, the Maxximo has McPherson struts upfront and leaf spring suspension at the back. 

The Mahindra Navistar Tourister is available in five variants, namely, 16 seater, 25 seater, 25 seater CNG (BS IV), 32 seater and a 40 seater variant. Engine options include a 2.6 litre common rail diesel engine and a MDI unit for the 16 seater versions, the 25 seater variants are powered by the 2.6 litre unit while the 32 and 40 seater variants are powered by a 3.3 litre common rail diesel unit along with power steering as standard. The Mahindra Navistar Tourister comes with leaf spring suspension as standard and the gearbox is a five speed synchromesh unit.
