Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster production confirmed

At the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed in UK, Lamborghini announced that it will produce the Roadster version of the Aventador SV (Superveloce). The confirmation of the Lamborghini Aventador SV was made by Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO, Lamborghini. The Aventador SV is the fastest Lamborghini production car on sale currently. The supercar also set one of the fastest time for a production car at the Nurburgring track in Germany with an under seven minute lap.

Speaking about the car, Winkelmann said, "The Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is the most pure, sports-oriented and emotional incarnation of a Lamborghini, and all 600 units have been sold, with first deliveries starting now. We will also produce a roadster version, which our dealers worldwide are now taking orders for.”

The Lamborghini Aventador SV was showcased at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year and production was limited to just 600 units. Powering the car will be a naturally aspirated V12 motor churning out a massive 750PS of power and 690Nm of torque. The Italian carmaker hasn’t revealed performance figures for the Aventador SV Roadster but expect it to sprint from 0-100kmph in just 2.8 seconds and a top speed above 320kmph making it among the fastest topless production supercar. Compared to the stock Aventador, the SV variant has extra 50PS and weighs 50kg lesser with revised bodywork with a rear wing to increase down force. Production of the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster will be limited to just 500 units to maintain exclusivity. Two units of the Lamborghini Aventador SV was rumoured to be reserved for India and it should soon make its way to our country with an estimated pricing of above Rs 7 crore.
