For those considering the Isuzu mu-X SUV before its expected BS6 upgrade and price hike in 2020, you might not want to wait too long. The carmaker is now offering a 3 year/50,000km extension to the standard 5-year/150,000km warranty. What’s more, there’s a free maintenance plan on offer as well. This would make the warranty period last a whooping 8 year/200,000km. And the best part is that you won’t have to pay any additional cost to avail of it.
The warranty plan also includes free periodic maintenance that covers preventive maintenance schedule (PMS) parts, lubricants and related labour costs. However it does not cover areas related to wear and tear and accident damage repairs. This offer is available till 31 December 2019.
The mu-X received an update back in October 2018 and is currently priced between Rs 27.35 lakh and Rs 29.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Feature highlights include bi-LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and six airbags. It is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that develops 177PS and 380Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and is available in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. Rivals include the Mahindra Alturas G4, Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.

Continuing with the success of the ISUZU ‘5ecure’ package which offered a ‘5 years Comprehensive Warranty & 5 years Free Periodic Maintenance’, for 1,50,000 kms (whichever occurs earlier), Isuzu Motors India now raises the value proposition with an ‘Extended 3 years warranty on the Powertrain’ for an additional 50,000 kms (whichever occurs earlier).
The ‘5ecure’ package on the ISUZU mu-X was launched in the year 2018 and has been a successful value offering to customers by ISUZU. It has offered a complete peace of mind, exuding total confidence in reliability and durability of the product.
Available at no additional cost to the buyer, this extended warranty will enable many full-size SUV enthusiasts to opt for the ISUZU mu-X, given that the SUV already comes at an attractive price tag in its segment in India.
The new warranty plan comes with the following benefits that includes a 3 years / 50,000 kms extension to the 5 years / 1,50,000 kms warranty & Free Periodic Maintenance under ‘5ecure’ package. The Free Periodic Maintenance for 5 years / 150,000 kms - includes PMS parts, lubricants and related labour costs under ‘5ecure’ package. This excludes wear & tear and accidental damage related repairs. This new plan is also transferrable. The offer is applicable with immediate effect and will be valid till 31st December 2019 only. Applicable terms & Conditions can be checked at the dealerships of ISUZU across the country.
Launched in October 2018, the new mu-X offers the best of both worlds. It is a perfect combination for those buyers who seek not only style, power and a dominating road presence but also want to have the best-in-class space and comfort for their family.
