Riders from around the country will make their way to Daman

Indian Motorcycle Riders Group National Ride Flagged Off

The first national ride of the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG) has been flagged off from Mumbai. The ride will be held from September 30 to October 2, 2016, with owners riding to Daman for the weekend, covering a distance of 170km. While the ride kicked-off from Mumbai, the convoy also included riders from Bengaluru, Chennai, Cochin and Hyderabad who made their way down from their respective cities. Another group of riders was flagged off from the Indian motorcycle dealership in Ahmedabad, which included IMRG members from New Delhi.

The riders who left from Ahmedabad will proceed to Daman and cover a distance of around 370km, making their way through the highways of Valsad and Vadodara. Both contingents will meet at Nahuli, a common stop-point located around 22km from Daman.

Speaking on the occasion, Pankaj Dubey, MD, Polaris India said, “The National Ride of the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group is an apt platform for fellow riders to share and revel in the glory of this iconic brand. The ride will also provide the perfect opportunity for riders to enhance their riding experience with some great benefits.”

Apart from helping Indian Motorcycle owners connect with each other, rides like these also play a big role in improving the brand's loyalty base. In fact, rival Harley-Davidson relies heavily on the Harley Owners Group brand-backed riding association as it helps in both acquiring and retaining customers. Given the popularity of such rides among owners, IMRG will be adding more to the calendar soon.
