India Yamaha Motor has once again won the No. 1 Technician title in the Commuter Model Class, which took place at the 7th World Technician Grand Prix 2016, Japan.
The World Technician Grand Prix (WTGP) championship is conducted once in two years, and the winners of this event get an opportunity to compete for the prestigious title of No.1 Technician in the world. Yamaha felicitated and gifted a Yamaha Ray ZR to Jignesh Rana from Planet Automobile, Ahmedabad, who represented India Yamaha Motor in the world championship. Apart from this, he will also be invited to watch the MotoGP next year.
The best technicians from across 21 countries, who had won their national-level qualifying contests (NTGP), gathered in Japan for the 7th Yamaha World Technician Grand Prix 2016. India Yamaha Motor had also won the prestigious WTGP contest that was held in Japan back in 2014.
Ravinder Singh, vice-president, India Yamaha Motor stated, “It is a moment of pride as India Yamaha Motor carried off the Grand Title for the second time. Yamaha is looking forward to create more such talents and that’s where the expertise of YTA Technicians comes into play. At Yamaha, a constant endeavour to offer exciting and excellent product line up to the customers is backed by providing them with excellent value added services and best in class after sales experience. Through contests like WTGP, Yamaha doesn’t only create world-class technicians but also ensures that customers are delighted and not merely satisfied.”
The seventh Yamaha WTGP saw participation from world-class Yamaha YTA Technicians who provide a ‘one-to-one’ service to customers on a daily basis. The WTGP contest also includes an advanced troubleshooting and communication programme in which customers use Yamaha’s diagnostic tools, which leads to customers who are satisfied with the brand service.
