Hyundai To Hike Prices Of Most Models By Rs 9200

All Hyundai models sold in India except for the Venue and the Kona Electric will be subject to the latest price hike from August 1

  • The price hike is due to increased costs to comply with the stricter safety regulations.
  • Most of the models sold by Hyundai will be subject to the latest price hike.
  • The Santro will now be priced from Rs 3.99 lakh - Rs 5.76 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Hyundai India has announced that it will hike the prices of all its models except the Venue and the recently launched Kona Electric by Rs 9,200 from August 1. Hyundai claims that the price hike is a result of increased input costs and changes made to its cars to make them comply with new safety regulations. 

Currently, Hyundai sells 11 models across various segments in the country. These include the Santro, Grand i10, Elite i20, Active i20, Xcent, Verna, Elantra, Venue, Creta, Kona Electric and the Tucson. The Elite i20, Venue and Creta are regular features on the list of  top 10 best-selling cars in India. The brand also made headlines with the Kona Electric as it is the first long-range electric car to be sold in the country.

Hyundai Motor India to hike prices from August 2019

New Delhi, July 23, 2019: Hyundai Motor India Ltd, India’s First Smart Mobility Solutions Provider and largest exporter since inception, today announced a price increase up to Rs 9,200/- on account of increase in input costs due to new enhanced safety regulations in cars by the government. The new prices will be effective from August 1, 2019 across all models.
