The 4th round of the Honda One Make Race in 2013 witnessed tough competition amongst riders in all the categories, giving the winners a chance to further their racing career

Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India (HMSI) participating for the 6th consecutive year in the MMSC - FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2013 held the 4th round of its ‘Honda One Make Race 2013’ at the Madras Motor Race Track, from 4th – 6th October, 2013.

Youngsters, mostly from southern India, who were taking part in the championship brought intense adrenalin to the track and displayed immense talent in the CBR 250R Team Championship, CBR 150R Open category and the 125cc CBF Stunner Novice Category.

In the CBR 250R Team Championship, around 20 CBR 250R performance bikes can be leased to teams registered at FMSCI. Excluding the engine, chassis and tires of CBR 250R, any other modifications may be made to enhance performance of the bikes. Honda further supported participating teams with original spare parts worth Rs.10,000 and set of tyres replacement per round. The bikes are modified with imported HRC performance kits for enhancing their overall output.

Riders above the age of 23 got a chance to participate in the Open category Championship, while riders under the age of 23 participated in the CBF Stunner class.

In all, over 74 riders participated in Round 4 of the Honda One Make Race. 41 riders competed for CBF Stunner cup. A total of 19 participants qualified in the 150cc ‘CBR 150R’ race. 14 expert riders from 8 teams competed in the Team Championship for CBR 250R race.

In what were an extremely competitive set of races with riders constantly swapping places on the track as they aimed to battle their way to podium, it was S Sarath Kumar who claimed top spot for both race 1 and 2 of the CBR 250R, Ananthraj dominated both Race 1 and 2 of the CBR 150R Open category, in the CBF Stunner Class R Venkataraman dominated race 1 and 2 while Akash Dingare bagged top spot in race 3.

The top three riders in their respective categories were awarded cash prizes which was Rs. 7500 for the winner, Rs. 5000 for the 2^nd spot and Rs. 2500 for the 3^rd spot.
