Honda has big plans for the 2014 Auto Expo and it can be gauged from the fact that it will have the largest pavilion among all the other two-wheeler manufacturers. In total, Honda will be showcasing seven models, which would also include global products. The theme of Honda’s pavilion at the Auto Expo will be “Technology meets Emotion”.  The much awaited Honda Activa 125 will be unveiled the Auto Expo and it will be among the highlights of the show as it will be the latest automatic scooter offering from Honda and will be powered by an all-new 125cc engine. Honda has announced that it will also display a new design concept model, which most likely will be its next 125cc offering for the Indian market.

Honda will also unveil the new fully-faired motorcycle, the CBR 500R for the first time at the Auto Expo. The CBR 500R is powered by a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin mill producing 43.5PS @ 8,500rpm and a torque rating of 29Nm @ 6,700rpm. The new entry level sports bike has been styled on the flagship CBR 1000RR, which works in its favour and makes it visually appealing. It is expected that Honda will price the CBR 500R around Rs 4 lakh and the new offering will be slotted between the Ninja 300 and 650R in terms of pricing and performance. Honda will also showcase the CBR650F, a sport-tourer that was recently launched at the 2013 EICMA motorcycle show held in Milan. The CBR650F houses a 649cc, liquid-cooled, in-line-four motor pumping out 87PS @ 11,000rpm and 63Nm @ 8,000rpm. If Honda plans to launch the new offering in our market then then the Ninja 650R will finally have any real rival to compete with.

There will be no dearth of eye candy at the stall as it will display the awe-inspiring Goldwing, which debuted in 2006 and comes equipped with features like airbags, reverse gear, music system, six-cylinder powerplant and then some. 2013 MotoGP champion, Marc Marquez’s 2013 championship-winning RC213V bike will also be displayed at the Honda stall and will certainly delight MotoGP enthusiasts. There will also be a special off-road track at the outdoor activity area on which the viewers can see the specially imported Honda ATV’s in action that will be demonstrated by professional riders.
