What is even further impressive is the figure that the last 5 million two-wheelers were sold in the past 18 months as the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer had crossed the 10 million mark in July, 2012.  According to Honda, the key reason to its success can be credited to the commuter offerings, the Dream Yuga & Dream Neo, which has been warmly received by the consumers.

Speaking on this achievement, Keita Muramatsu – President & CEO, HMSI said- “Together we have successfully given Joy of mobility to 15 Million Happy customers. We firmly believe customer experience and customer loyalty is priceless and will work very closely with our customers to enhance the same.”

Honda initiated it Indian two-wheeler journey from its first production facility at Manesar, which commenced operations in 2001. Currently it has three other manufacturing facilities across the country located in Haryana, Rajasthan and Karnataka. The cumulative production capacity of these plants stands at 46 lakh units per annum. Sales of Honda are forecasted to improve further more as the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer will be expanding its product portfolio for 2014 and all eyes will be on the up-coming 125cc scooter.
