India's biggest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp has launched an e-commerce portal to retails its parts and accessories. Called www.hgpmart.com, the e-commerce platform will allow customers to buy genuine parts for their Hero motorcycle at just the click of a button.
Hero will use its extensive network of close to 100 distributors for swift and timely delivery to customers. For the same, it has partnered with Delhivery, a pan-India e-commerce logistics service provider to deliver parts and accessories to customers across the country.
The company had previously partnered with Snapdeal, through which they were able to sell over 5,00,000 two-wheelers, in the course of a year.
Hero has designed the website for an extremely simplified purchase experience. Customers will be able to buy spare parts and accessories either through the part number or by directly selecting the bike. This is a very welcome move from the company, as many customers fall for duplicate products of questionable quality.
