Indian motorcycle manufacturer Hero has discontinued three products from its lineup in the Indian market, namely- Splendor Pro Classic, Splendor iSmart  97cc and HF Dawn. The three bikes have been taken off from the company's official website as well. Low sales volume is likely to be the reason for phasing out these bikes. With retro design and a single seat, the Hero Splendor Pro Classic was the cheapest cafe racer one could buy in India, with the next cheapest alternative being only the Royal Enfield Continental GT. The bike was powered by a 97.2cc engine which produced 8.36PS of power at 8000rpm and 8.05Nm of peak torque at 5000rpm.

Splendor iSmart was equipped with a 97.2cc OHC engine producing the same output as the Splendor Pro Classic. But the bike was equipped with Hero’s i3S technology which is essentially an idle start-stop feature. The bike promised better fuel efficiency over other conventional 100cc commuters. However, the brand continues to sell its bigger cousin, the iSmart 110, as it was developed from ground-up in India and comes with a slightly more powerful engine as well.

Equipped with spoke wheels, kick-starter and drum brakes, the HF Dawn was one of the cheapest bikes from Hero. Its sibling, the HF Deluxe, is still on sale. The HF Deluxe offers better equipment over the Dawn and is also available with i3S technology as an option.

The brand has also hiked the prices of its portfolio in the range of Rs 500 to Rs 2200 to partially offset the commodity cost increases, from May 1st.
