Harley-Davidson India has ridden in the new Street Rod motorcycle in our two-wheeler market. The new Harley-Davidson Street Rod has been launched at Rs 5.86 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new motorcycle is based on the Street 750 which is the first Harley-Davidson bike to be manufactured in India. The styling of the new Street Rod is similar to its sibling but it gets a redesigned headlamp screen and tail section along with new colours to distinguish itself. Also, the revised cycle parts endow the bike with a low slung stance.

Powering the new Street Rod is the same 750cc, liquid-cooled, "Revolution X" V-Twin engine as seen on the Street 750. But the engine has been tuned to offer better performance with increased compression ratio and the larger fuel injection port offers 11 per cent more power. The torque figure has also jumped from 59Nm to 62Nm and it comes at 4,000rpm. Other changes include a larger volume air box and new dual 42mm throttle bodies, new four-valve cylinder heads and high-lift camshafts, plus a higher-volume exhaust muffler – all designed to increase airflow and efficiency.
