ROADTRIP! What's not to like about that, eh?

Hyundai Tucson - Great India Drive - Journey Of Faith

The view from Kangra airport. That's the Dhauladar mountain range standing tall in the background

I met Annette on my flight to Dharamshala from Delhi. She's a Dutch filmmaker who's in India for a month-long Yoga course. It was nearly time to land while we finished the mandatory download on India and a crash course in Hindi. She seemed particularly happy to be in Himachal Pradesh. "I've got no plans. I'm going to go with the flow," she said.

That flies in the face of what I've grown up doing. I don't like the flowy stuff. Order is a good thing. I'm a sucker for lists. As my brother says, the feeling of striking things off a list is nothing short of divine. And the journey that I had begun was the first step towards striking off another item off my 'to-do' list.

Hyundai Tucson - Great India Drive - Journey Of Faith

Dharamshala is all about mountains, narrow winding roads and warm hospitality of the Pahadi folk.

But, maybe, this time around I’ll let my organisational OCD take a backseat and let the journey unravel as it will. Incidentally, our drive with the Tucson circles around faith. Yes, it's going to be a good old-fashioned road trip, but we'll be exploring places that cemented humanity's faith in people, religion or even an idea for that matter.

The journey of faith begins

Join us as we trace the journey of faith driving from Dharamshala to Dholavira. We'll sample food, head to the Indo-Pak border and even visit India's first nuclear test site. Our partner in crime, is the trusty Tucson from Hyundai. 2,200kms, 10 days and 4 states - this promises to be epic!

You can follow the journey by heading here. Also, be sure to take part in the #TucsonGotFaith contest by sharing your story of faith on either Facebook or Twitter. Till next time.
